::NOTE::

::I NEED SOME HELP WITH A NAME FOR THIS STORY. IT WILL BE TOLD IN SECTIONS, I GUESS YOU COULD CALL THEM SMALL CHAPTERS. WELL THIS IS THE FIRST PART OF THE STORY. SO FAR I THINK ITS DRY AND BORING. I REALLY DONT KNOW HOW TO WRITE::

i close my eyes and i remember the sounds of downtown olympia.

sounded like any other small city. cars, lots of traffic, honking tires screeching, people talking, laughing and screaming, cafes and diners, dishes clinking and crashing.

i remember the smells of downtown olympia.

smelled like any other small city. coffee and tea and fresh bread from the cafes, hot soup and sandwiches, pizza cooking at old scool pizzaria, the saltwater from the bay, food vendors at the farmers market, exhaust from the cars and busses.

a thousand things to do any time you wanted to. a thousand diffrent stores to look through at any moment.

now, however, i open my eyes and see a diffrent city. its quiet and empty. no traffic, no noise, no smells. nothing to do or look at. this is what olympia is like after everyone became sick.

it was a very sudden thing, a plane touched down in sea-tac on december 12, 2012 carrying a man from england. soon after the passengers got off the plane, the man became ill. he told air port security that it was very important to get him into isolation and to let him get ahold of the bio-tech company he worked for in england. security put him into a holding room and let him make his call. a few minutes had passed when they heard a loud screaming, then silence, from the room. upon opening the door they found a puddle of blood and vomit next to the chair that the man had been left sitting in. the man was slumped over a table in the far corner of the room, when a security officer stepped into the room to see if he was all right, the man spun around quickly and ran at the officer. the officer was faced with the order of shoot to kill when being attacked, just like any other type of law enforcment. he put a bullet between the deranged enghlishman's eyes in a flash.

at least thats what the "official" reports say. and thats preety much it. except the details of what the man was suffering from were left out. the details of what the man had done to himself in that room were left out. everything that had been left out were the most important details of them all.

im just an ordinary person, but in times of crisis even the goverment cant keep its dirty little secrets hidden for long. with chaos comes anarchy. the hidden details that i learned make a world of diffrence today.

the englishman's name was shawn eastman, and he worked for a company in birmingham called biochem-tech industries. he was the lead scientist on a team of 20 engineering a new bio-weapon for the united states military. it was a virus called IEVW-122012, intended to be dispersed in a gas cloud among the enemy troops. once inhaled the virus starts to affect the brain, causing confusion, numbness, loss of motor skills, blurred vision leading to blindness, and loss of speech. now, if the insurgents were not already dead because of U.S troops, the virus would start to slow the heart rate and the breathing until the body just shut down alltogether. and if any of the infected insurgents managed to make it to another insurgent camp, the virus was also airborn. the victim remained contagious until he died, after wich the virus could only be spread by contact with the blood or mucous. when this little virus was dreamed up and first created, it had no visible side effects. when it was tested on mice, rats and monkeys, there were no side effects. but when it was tested on human subjects, it had a terrible side effect. aproximatly 30 minutes after death the subject would seemingly come back to "life". no pulse, no breathing, but strangely there was brain activity. it was all like a really bad sci-fi zombie movie, only worse. these goverment experiments could think and reason, learn and retain information, they could even remember things from before they had died. this was great news for the goverment, bad news for us. these zombies could be trained like a living soldier could, only with the zombie "soldier" there was no fear of death. zombie "soldiers" just wanted to eat. the U.S goverment figured that with these new "soldiers", wars could be won in a matter of months instead of years. there would be no more living men and women being sent away to fight. the goverment saw nothing but good things from this virus, but when shawn eastman was ordered to bring the virus over to the U.S, things went wrong.

somewhere between recieving the orders from the U.S president and that air port security room, shawn became infected with IEVW-122012. with any virus, incubation periods are going to differ from person to person because of each persons individual immune system. immunities are diffrent for everybody so there is no sure way to tell when excatly he became infected.

birthday!

Sun Feb 1, 2009, 5:55 AM
2 MONTHS AND 13 DAYS UNTIL MY BIRTHDAY!

im starting the countdown early so people will remember, and maybe even come to celebrate with me.

at any rate, i turn 22. i know its dumb but when i was 7 i never imagined being this "old". its crazy. it dosent seem that long ago when i was in kindergarten and now in 21 nearing 22. dang. life goes by fast...

i borrow a line from a great song by the circle jerks, "live fast, die young..." thats how i live every day, like its my last, i live fast, never look back, and never regret. when you regret you have wasted, try to live how you think you should. if you dont treasure your life and you want to life dangerously then thats your choice. just dont regret it when your coming to a close. if you choose to do great things and help others, but still have fun on your own terms, then yes, by all means do so. just dont ever look back or regret. whats done is done, and it should never come back. thats why its called the past.

now i know im crazy but i like to think i have some wisdom to offer.

peace, have a great day, and talk to you all later...
